This is what our free snapshot looks like. It's a real check we ran on a national Medicare patient-advocacy company, shared with their name removed.

ChatGPT recommends four options: SHIP (free Medicare counseling), the Medicare Rights Center, the Patient Advocate Foundation and the Greater National Advocates directory. They aren't among them.
Why it happens
- Google trusts their own page. It's well written and matches the question exactly, so it ranks.
- ChatGPT wants independent proof. It leans on nonprofits, government sites and third-party articles. One outside mention (LTC News) isn't enough for it to name a private company.
- The winners are the ones official sources point to. CMS.gov's own guide to finding a patient advocate sends people to the Patient Advocate Foundation, and the others are long-running nonprofits and directories that guides keep citing.
The plan to get named
- 6 to 8 independent mentions on senior-care, caregiver and personal-finance sites, through guest posts that answer real Medicare questions.
- Get added to existing “best patient advocate” roundups that already rank, through niche edits.
- One plain answer page on their site comparing their service with the free options, so AI tools can see when each one fits.
- Re-check every 30 days in ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google, with the results sent in a one-page report.
